You must maintain and update your Linkedin profile if you want to be taken seriously as professional. LinkedIn is not only a place to display your expertise but its also the first professional impression of you when recruiters and employers use LinkedIn to search for candidates but it also demonstrates credibility in your field of work.

Go Freelance and Get Reviewed Online:

This may not be for everyone, but if you can get gigs as a freelancer and get reviewed on freelancing websites; mazal tov! Nothing says you’re awesome at your job than glowing verified reviews.

Partake in Online Questions and Discussions:

Actively reply to questions and take part in a discussion on websites like Reddit, Quora, Yahoo answers and let people take benefit from your knowledge. Helpful replies get upvoted higher, and when they show up in search results. they become a testament to your expertise.

If you want to seem professional, blogging is the way to go! Not only it helps you build your audience, it shows how serious are you about your craft. Becoming a blogger is also a badge you wanna have if you want to represent yourself as media-savvy.

To build a solid reputation on Social Media, you need to decide which platforms are the best where your audience is more likely to be found. Engage to your audience by posting content and replying to their question and comments.

Take courses on websites like Linkedin, Google, and edX and get the certificates that are relevant to your job. This shows how keen you are to keep your knowledge base updated.

There are also other ways to boost your position as a professional online, but what I have shared is doable with two or three hours of dedicated efforts.The irony is that I wrote this article because I finally decided to take my advice and start writing helpful content. I have personally applied some of these methods into building my reputation as a professional and based on that I have built a solid career for my self. Hope this helps you as well!
