How To Gain Your First 100 Followers on Medium
As I’m writing this article, I currently stand at 14 followers, and I only have a couple of days to get to 100 followers. So here’s how I’m planning to get my first 100 followers as quickly as I can.
Step: 1 Identify who else is in the same pickle?
There are many medium writers like us, trying their best to put out quality content, but for some reason, they can’t get their numbers up in regards to the follower, and here’s how you find them;
You write an article about them!
See, if you’re reading this article, then chances are high that you, just like me, are looking for a way to increase followers. So now that I have got your attention, here’s the next step
Step:2 Request them nicely to follow you
Writers are kind breed and love one another. Sure, we criticize each other work sometimes but that is in the spirit of lifting the quality of their work. If they see you struggling to get your follower higher, they’ll surely (also hopefully) drop a follow. Now, what’s the next step you ask? It’s as follows
Step:3 Return the favour
If your reader loves your content enough to follow you, surely it’s your obligation to return the favour, yes? You could do so by putting out great content every week, or go to their profile and hit follow! You can even check out their work and leave claps if you like their work!
So what’s next?
If you manage to get your first 100 followers, be grateful and not be lazy like you used to. You know you can write a great piece every week but procrastination has a grip over you. You know you could dig deep into the depth of the internet and find something that your readers would absolutely love!
